My ride

It's frighteningly fast, stops on a dime and flicks almost effortlessly through the corners. Having said that, I caution that this is not a starter bike. I started on a Ninja 500R. Get some experience and some training from your local Motorcyle Safety Foundation approved course and then jump up to a bike like this. That brings me to how I named this blog. I took the previously mentioned training course and at the end of the first day our instructor said, congratulations, you are now scootertrash. I have never been more proud. Please excuse me, talk amongst yourselves, I'm getting all verklempt<---is that how you spell that?

How does one start a brand new blog? I suppose I should start with a brief description of myself. As you may have guessed by the title I ride a motorcyle. I'm a sportbike guy, I ride a Ninja 600R, but some day I hope to own a cruiser as well. I dislike the term "crotch-rocket" because it's an ugly term and is an inadequate description of motorcyles engineered for much more than straightline speed. But enough about bikes, for now. I am a conservative, with a lot of libertarian leanings and was genuinely shocked when I learned of the ruling by the supreme court regarding imminent domain. The frog is getting warmer, if you know what I mean. And now for the personal stuff. I love to cook, I have 5 cats, I'm happily married (14 years), I dabble in woodworking, I have a vegetable garden (tomatoes and peppers) which the deer are happily consuming, I love historic house tours and unspoiled old towns and my beautiful little home in the great state of Kentucky. When my wife comes home I'll have her show me all the bells an whistles, but for now, here goes nothing.
